Easter's Pizza-venture

Today’s happy thing...
Easter pizza

Yay, my first attempt at pizza making turned out decently. I’ve been obsessing over making one since last week and was just hindered by a missing ingredient, mozzarella, and I am too lazy to go buy one so I decided to just make do with what is in the kitchen without exerting much effort to drop by the nearest grocery for one.

Chatting with kuya and ate as well as getting to see my niece and nephew via webcam made my Easter morning complete. Lian, my 7-year-old niece, apparently grew an inch taller and lost some weight while Gelo, my 9-month-old nephew managed to eat cereal biscuits by himself, an amazing feat which send him clapping to himself for quite a time while I chat with my kuya.

I was also looking forward for Bhie who promised to drop by. Unfortunately, he was tied with their church activities. Yup, the last one is definitely not a happy thought although it was supposed to be.

Off for another search ^_^

Shen's Addiction turns two!!!

Today’s happy thing...
Shen’s second year anniversary contest ^_^

Lately, I have been doing a lot of reading, studying, watching tutorial videos, and even experimenting on the “vain-ity world” and realize that I have a lot of catching up to do. It is not as if I have never been interested with these stuffs before( believe me, I’m a die-hard girly stuff person) but I just have a lot of never-ending craze and I never get to focus on this.

So, along with my researches (let’s make it sound scientific neh! ^_^), I came across different online gurus and bloggers who talks and writes about stuffs that are so practical and interesting that it is a surprise these topics failed to get included in college curriculums. (:P). I am one of those late-bloomers who basically grew up in a conservative environment where my father and brother do not seem to appreciate girls using make-ups. I do not have an older sister or kikay friends who could guide me about what these stuffs so I really appreciate people who gives advises, reviews and even tips online and I am so happy that I came across Shen’s Addiction while doing my usual researches. The reviews are very helpful in deciding whether to try a new product and even what to consider when buying something as well as keeping me awake in between work.

Free tutorials and lesson online, what else could be better? How about giveaways? Yup, giveaways. In celebration of Shen’s Second Year Anniversary, she is holding a contest on her site, Shen's Addiction and you might even end up being one of the 3 winners ^_^

Have a nice day and good luck!!!

Pizza, chocolate and Hachiko

Today’s happy thing...
Pizza, chocolate and Hachiko ^_^

Bhie dropped by with a box of pizza and a bar of dark Cadbury chocolate, yum yum. I was actually on the verge of making my own pizza and causing turmoil in the kitchen but eventually let go of the idea since I have already made a mess of the kitchen the other day when I baked a batch of chocolate muffin.

I cheered up after one week of not talking to him. Food is definitely the key to diverting my attention not that I can be bribed easily with one. We then settled on watching Hachiko, a movie I have been meaning to watch since someone from work mentioned it. Being a j-culture fanatic, I definitely need to see the story of the famous dog statue in Shibuya. As with all dog movies, I could not avoid shedding a tear or two but all in all, it was such a heart-warming tale. I would love to watch it again with a mug of hot coffee and a huge muffin. Speaking of muffin, Bhie got to try my masterpiece, except for the “lessen the sugar” comment he said it was good so I guess, I will be doing a second batch on this recipe soon.

As for the pictures, the pizza disappeared immediately before I even thought about taking a picture but the chocolate is very much intact in the freezer right now and I am being my usual lazy self to bother looking for the camera.

Another happy thing, going to bed early ^_^
